Hahaha... I like your way of explaining it! I have only owned one in 375H&H. Cut it down to a 20" barrel and it was a handy heavy hitter even though it felt like a club. It took some getting used to but it was a very well built rifle, no question.

I think you are referring to the 550 Lux...
I have a number of CZ FS rifles, below is a picture for comparison... the top rifle is a 452 FS in LR, the center rifle is a 527 FS in .223, both of which have a nice slim profile and delicate feel... the 550 FS however, as you suggest, is "thick in the grip" with a totally different feel to it... it is somewhat blocky, but it is a fine rifle and I enjoy the feel none-the-less... I vastly prefer the flush mag and mag release of the 550, compared to the 527... so it is a wash as to which I like better.
