I cant believe that i offered over 500 rounds of .22 as good will to help .(see my post) I'm now getting "members" via PM asking me to pay for shipping, how old is the ammo? can i deliver it.
NO good deed goes unpunished i guess.

They clearly don't deserve your generosity! Hopefully you're able to find someone who genuinely does.

Are there any clubs in your area that are oriented towards youth that you can donate to? If not there is one in Kitchener that is very youth friendly, but non-jacketed target loads only from what I see.

** I have nothing to do with them, I just became aware of the club when searching for a range to join.

Kudos to you for giving the free ammo away, not so much for the vultures wanting more.

Reminds me of an episode of Pawn Stars.

Lady brings in a spider broach with jewels all over it she thinks is costume jewellery. asking something like $50.

Rick tells her is real and offeres her something like $12,000.

She looks at him and says $15,000.

Ten seconds earlier she wanted $50, he offers $12,000 and she has the stones to ask $15,000.

I'm sure it's a very worth wile cause.
Thankyou for bearing light on that.

You could also check with the gunsmith at the local gun shop you don't like. :) His name is Travis and he takes his daughters Girl Guide troop to the fish and game club for training.

My goodness. all i was trying to do was to give away some ammo to a good cause.

Sorry for being a good guy.

You misunderstood my misunderstanding.

I thought you wanted it closed to stop the people from sending the types of PM's you were complaining about.

That's why I suggested deleting your post as a way to stop them. Iwasn't in any way trying to crap on your generous gesture.

Is this thread ever going g to die?

the good part about this thread is that people post what stores have ammo which can be helpful. just have to ignore all the other crap. there used to be a few fellows on here that seemed to be knowledgeable with firearms have not seen them post anything for a long time

True, I guess I'm just not seeing a shortage problem around here like some others are experiencing. And as far a price, for the few dollars more per box it seems like some guys would rather not shoot at all, it blows my mind really, I'll pay the extra and have fun shooting it. Not like complaining on a forum for 120 some pages is going to make the price go down. We have to look at the positives a little more often. Just be happy you can get out and shoot. And if you have the time to shoot enough ammo for the price of rimfire ammo to really effect your finances, you should be really greatful for the amount of trigger time life is allowing you. Just my honest opinion.

Yeah, a few dollar more per box, all right, a box of 50! The price is effectively 2-3X what it was a short while ago. While at the end of the day, an extra $20 @500 is not a show stopper for most, it the principal.

What if gasoline was suddenly $2@litre? would that be OK? I mean, as long as you could still drive it would be better than nothing, right?

^ exactly. There are people selling for 75% higher prices right now from what the exact same ammo cost a few months ago.

A few bucks more is OK, but not that...

If that is the case then I'd much rather take a break with my 22's and spend more $ per shot on 7.62x39, as those are down in price.

It's the principal.

Companies that sell products to make money don't care about principal, they care about making money. It's supply and demand. It's not just ammo manufacturers that do this, I'm sure if you were in the business you would do the same. It sucks, ya I know, but do we really have to cry about it online every time we buy a box of ammo?
