Hey guys,
I live in the Greater Toronto Area, and am on my way to get my PAL/RPAL(just waiting for the test result paper). I recently found an old air rifle I used to play with in my warehouse a few years ago when I had a business, and was wondering what the rules/laws regarding such a thing are. It is a Daisy Red Ryder 4.5mm steel pellets(just read the stock, never knew what it was earlier, lol!), and the name makes me think it is just a toy anyway, but I have a few questions in mind:
1) Are all airguns legal off the shelf? Or do you have to have a PAL?
2) Where can you shoot an air rifle? Do you need to be on a range?
3) Are there any storage & transportation laws for air rifles?
It is obviously pretty cheap to buy and shoot an air rifle for just fun target shooting(cans, etc.), so would be nice if it can be used in a basement or backyard without being sent to jail for 5years.
Thanks in advance for all the good responses!
