Cool headed hunters vs. anti hunter woman.

Thats some funny stuff right there! I had a similar experience with our local land use "enforcer". I live in the country on 3.5 acres, not a lot but it is MINE, she tried to tell me that I am not allowed to shoot my bow on my property. There are no houses behind us for over a mile, nothing but swamp and woods actually. And my target actually has a decent shroud just in case I put one off the target. The police have been involved on more than one occasion, they just laugh now when they hear her name, they told me directly they are tired of her calls, and as long as I continue to act responsibly and lawfully, there will never be a problem. Actually got to know a couple of them now by first name!

They handled themselves very well. Dealing with an ignorant and irate individual is not easy, and it can be hard to keep your cool, especially if they were upset at having their hunt ruined.

If cool heads didn't prevail, the charges could have easily gone against the hunters instead of the other way around.

Good story with a happy enough ending.

Those fellas are a lot calmer than I would have been, Ive had to deal with people like that a couple times in the past, and I wasn't very polite about it. I may have shot her vicious dogs for fear of being attacked on her second visit.

Bite you lip and play it cool. That's how you win.

In this video she looks like the raving lunatic. If the hunter looses his sh!t and goes on the defensive, he's the lunatic with a gun.

Hopefully she hasn't learned, and she tries that nonsense again, so the judge can give her a very heavy fine as a repeat offender. He should also issue a court order banning further actions on her part, so if she repeats this, she can also be locked up for contempt of court.

I have had almost the exact same experiences on a handful of occasions(three or four).

One lunatic worked for ESRD(Alberta Government) and I was fully willing to charge her and was not going to back down. The top brass at the time calmed the situation, forced her to send myself and my hunting partner a written apology. I still have the emails where she was told what her job was and that she had no right pushing her personal agenda on people legally hunting and if she did again she would be terminated without question.

The best part was when she was yelling and screaming that the local animals were hers to look over and protect. She had more than one screw loose.

What a stupid b!tch. I would not have been as pleasant as those hunters were. They are a good example of how to deal with said situation. Nice to see she was charged after being so self righteous.

I have had to deal with many people behaving in the same manner as this whack job. Part of the reason they behave this way is to envoke a negative reaction from you in order to turn the tables and paint you as the aggressor. By remaining calm and collected, not raising your voice, and refraining from displaying any kind of body language that could be interpeted as defensive or aggressive. This just infuriates these types of people further as they are not getting their desired reaction from you and they begin acting even more irrational and when positive witnesses, either people or video, are an important element to your defense for when the person files a complaint, which they usually do, just helps destroy their case. This also helps destroy any credibility for them in the future when they attempt to make complaints.

And this is about as good an example as you can get of how to handle a nasty.

I think they have a school in the area, the horn honking rings familiar, I have met a similar individual who also likes to claim they have been "threatened" when they attempt to engage a conflict... Cell phone cams come in handy.

People really shouldn't own dogs that are smarter than they are. Her dog was polite, and well mannered, unlike it's owner. Speaking of which, she obviously saw the other dogs in the field, so why would she take her's into a situation where it could of been mauled by the larger dogs? Was she actually hoping to sacrifice her dog to make a point? The breeds used as retrievers are usually pretty gentle, but every now and then . . .

NAILED IT!

And "shooting one of her viscious dogs", or threatening her in any way, shape or form, is exactly what she wanted. Then SHE would have been the winner in court and the hunters would have been painted as "monsters with guns". That is why she grabbed at the cell phone camera, in an attempt to force the hunter to become "physical" with her in an attempt to get his own phone back. She would have very quickly fallen to the ground in immense pain, screaming loudly, and describing her injuries in detail for the camera to see and hear.

If you really want to get under the skin of this kind of person then refuse to engage them in their conflict in any maner. Remain calm exactly like the guys in the video. I guarantee you she will be laying awake at night, losing sleep, re-living this event over and over and over again in her mind. That is how this personality type functions.

Here's a whole body shiver for you...can you imagine being this person's neighbour? Or even worse...related to her in any way? :puke:
