All weather 358 Winchester

To be fair, I don't think you ever put an ugly stock on a pretty rifle. At least, not to my recollection.

Why am I thinking that you weren't going "compliment" on that???

Well, you know... this is a big green ball and it takes all sorts to make it spin...

Ha.. just as I expected the earth is blue not green so its confirmed, hoyt lives on another planet :)

Nope... just in the equatorial rain forest... which we can't see for the trees... busy, busy, busy in the shop... making brilliantly coloured laminate thumbhole stocks... you'll have to get in line for them though, SC is in for a dozen, BUM for two dozen, Douglas for three dozen, and Crazy Davey for four dozen... did I miss anyone?

I don't mind it, but it isn't my #1 choice for a wood stock. That being said, it seems that I now have two stocked in that 'fashion'. The first is a Savage 112BVSS in .25-06.

The second and a recent acquisition:d, a custom job, based on the 700 Remington action and in 375CT.

Plywood, prehaps but neither is for sale:).

Contrary to popular (snarly) opinion... my first choice is not laminate either... I own relatively few of them at the moment... Ima love that blued steel and walnut... and most are thusly adorned...

I like plywood stocks but only when they are black/gray in colour and mounted on stainless steel rifles.

Most of my guns are this way.

Send them out for sure! I heat with wood so the firewood pile could always use more ;)
