Seen it happen. Ammo taken to police station to be destroyed. Guy calls over fellow officer "You shoot this don't you?" Other guy say "Yeah. Sweet" Takes it and locks it in his desk drawer.
This .22LR shortage is starting to piss me off.

I've bought more .22 ammo during this "shortage" than ever before...
No that's not how it should be. Ammunition should never be taken to the police station to be destroyed in the first place.

The shortage has finally let it's far reaching effects linger in the Lakeland region.
Many local stores have now sold out of 22 LR, 22 Mag and 17 HMR (gopher season) and the ones with the remaining stock ration thier sales.

Cabelas is a bit of a gong show I've been trying to buy the same ammo online since April 19th and they still can't tell me why my order is stuck..
Excuses are new inventory system, warehouse in Calgary service reps in Winnipeg they don't talk, very busy, .. oh and supervisors go home at 4:00 each day M-F with no escalation process

I especially like when they go home with a bunch of calls in the cue...after you've been transferred three times.

Holy gong show I have ordered ammo 3 times and had a mistake on my order every time.
Latest order Instead of the 2 box's of Federal 525 I recieved 1 and a box of Challanger target load 12 guage shot gun shells WTF!!The time before I only got half my order of M22's
This latest order they also charged me for free shipping.I finally got a hold of a supervisor and basically was told that everyone working in the Calgary warehouse is a MORON.She refunded my shipping charge gave me a paultry $20 GC and is expediting the missing federal 525. 3 strikes and your out I have plenty of ammo and will not be needing cabelas anytime soon other than redeeming said GC
Yes they are that bad.
Speaking of cabelas, when you get it you package will be smashed to bits. loose bullets kicking around in the box, broken plastic everywhere.
great care was taken to ship me my ammo. 3 of the boxes of ammo didn't even arrive! if i literally could get cci ammo elsewhere I would do it instead. out my way it's only winchesturds on the shelves though.

I have ordered ammo three times from them and had no problems at all, last case I ordered was on my step a week after ordering it. I have got free shipping each time. Just gave them my credit card # and it comes right to my door don`t even have to go to a store. I don`t know what could be easier.
