Johnn, please make an announcement of your intentions before actually listing anything for sale. I will then regretfully be forced to put you on "ignore" until you move all that beautiful iron...I've been in downsizing mode for awhile now, and if some of your guns are dangled in front of me all the progress I've made could vanish overnight! :)

For big game rifles, I'm down to a 308 Carbine, 7/08, 257Roberts and a 358Win. All 700s except the 308 which is a 760.

I could sell the 308 and 257R and still be set for anything in Canada I'd be hunting.

:)Will do.The day to start downsizing is a future event that while one I'm not looking forward, nonetheless:( I realise, it is an eventuality.;)But not for a while yet. I enjoy shooting 'them' along with the reload & load testing involved. With long guns, my focus if you will, has been towards 'decent' quality hunting firearms. There are a few, that may not see field use, but they will still be appreciated and enjoyed on the range as a minimum. A most recent example is my model 68DL Schultz & Larsen in 7x61S&H. This year, it drew blood for the first time, on my retirement gift Antelope hunt. Again, I don't know if they'll all get field use, but I'll sure make the effort.

Haha, Johnn. After showing courtesy and letting you buy the stainless ruger, Hotcanon is "begging" to buy the same thing for himself. Look at his solicitation here:

You owe him, buddy! LOL

It's my understanding that the determining factor in agreeing to sell me the stainless Ruger RSI, was his being able to acquire basically the same but a blued one, and in 308. I believe he has one on the way and possibly another as well.

Good luck! ....... I tried to see if I could do any trading with Johnn for that 375. All he would offer is a couple Cooeys and a Mosin–Nagant.

The 375Ruger advantage has been lower cost rifles with 375HH performance. If cost wasn't an issue I would have a Sako in 375HH on the way. l have a Mossberg in 375Ruger on the way instead. For the majority of hunters I know, budget is the dream killer.

;)You're a bad man:p. Ted was here today for a quick visit today and my wife & I finally had the pleasure of meeting Marg.

For those of you on this site that we usually have a coffee get together with when Ted is visiting, :( sorry but I couldn't contact you this time because of a few 'issues' that were taking place locally. Next time.
And, after my recent purchases from you and Hoytcanon, :redface:I once again attempted to convince Ted, I would NOW curtail any more firearms purchases.

Let us know how the Mossberg turns out :)

My wife does the gardening, I mow lawns and trim a couple of bonsai trees I've developed, one of which you see on the top left of that photo.
The;) '.366 Wagner' I have, while in an inexpensive Zastava, continues to dazzle me with the accuracy.:) Suprised and well pleased. Now, it needs some field exposure but there's a pair of 358NM's that will get preference for blood first.

Beautiful picture Johnn, you are a very talented photographer and your picture posting ability leaves me envious.
A huge Thanks for sharing with us !!

:)Thanks guy. As I've mentioned in previous posts, I'd rather post a photo than go through some lengthy dialogue or description. ;)Helps eliminate the errors of personal opinion and interpretation. However,;) my Daughter is the photographer, I just take pictures.

That was the case Johnn... I let the M77 RSI Stainless/walnut 7X57 go when I lined up a deal on a Blued/walnut M77 MKII RSI 7X57 in upstate New York... but unfortunately the seller didn't understand that the export process did not require anything of him except to ship to an FFL as he always would... I tried to explain the process but could not seem to get through to him... I do have M77 MKII RSI's in .243, .270 & .30/06, but would like MKII RSI's in 7X57 and .308 also... if I find the 7X57, I will let the .270 go. I have had opportunity to buy tang safety rifles, but I prefer the 3-position safeties. I will "endeavor to persevere," because the M77 RSI's are the nicest handling rifles I have ever carried, they fit me perfectly and I love their balance.

On a side note; have you noticed how the nuttiest of the gun nutz just seem to cycle rifles amongst themselves???
