Colt Canada Information Thread

1699 is the Mil discount rate right now for the C8, 899 was the Mil discount price for the IUR...

IUR is at 899 now so hopefully you guys can get the C8 for 1699 in the not to distant future...

At 1700$ im getting a c8 100%. Just gotta swap the trigger with a wilson combat i have here for spare, and thats it, even have a pws fsc556 that would be perfect on it

I got one last year under the IOP for 1650 with green furniture, and I got one this year at 1699 under the Mil discount and got the IUR as well... lol...

The Kool aid is strong over here... But I did sell the Upper and barrel to offset the cost of the IUR....

My SA15.7 IUR Should be all together Tuesday....

anyone else end up with an imperfection in the finish of their iur?

I think I seen one thread but that ODell replaced it.

I'd rather not return mine. Just wondering.

If you're talking about the inside of the receiver, it's supposed to be like that. If you're talking about dings and handling marks, that's pretty common too.

Seems like a lot of people are selling unfired IUR's. What's the deal with that? Buyers remorse?

They probably got one of the combo deals, and are selling off the IUR for the discount.

Shot mine, there is no way I will sell it.
The thing is damn accurate. More accurate than the KAC I had.
... And that c9A2 flash suppressor is very effective

Yes, my original IUR had some serious dings to the rails (much worse than what you show) and it was replaced by O'Dell. As far as I'm concerned you payed enough for a new condition item that you might as well see if they will replace it.

I only have seen the IUR with some poly lower, looked like junk. I am toying with buying an IUR or one of the complete guns but prices seem to be dropping.

CF replacement cost is $70.60, that's what the military pays for them. Wholesale cost is probably no where near that just do to the shear volume that the CF bought them in. I have no idea what O'Dell paid for them. There is only 100 of them.

If $70.60 is the listed value in the CFSS that is what was paid when last purchased. The cost to actually buy a new one and add it to the supply system today can be very different.

Since Colt Canada made their products available to the civilian market (and with discounts to MIL and LE pers), I have purchased the SA20 in black (and some replacement green furniture for the 20), the SA15.7 in green and the IUR upper. Highly satisfied with everything.

While I am more than willing to support Colt Canada and deal with whomever their distributor is (still waiting for those t-shirts and hats to hit retail), the price for the Triad is obscene.

You mean to tell me that 4 ounces of alloy is worth $300? 1/3 the value of the $899 IUR upper? Regardless of its alleged scarcity, anyone shelling out that kind of cash for a Triad.........fill in the blank.

I picked up two BCM Tri Rail Mounts for $99.95 US each.
Thanks, but no thanks.

I tried to help them with that... They wanted none of it. They could do quite well in the civi market if they bumped up advertising, and knocked down pricing a titch.

The lack of sales was due to the lack of advertising. Im the only one at work that surfs CGN. Most people I know think forums are a big waste of time ( and they are lol )

I would say 5% of gun owners come here, and this was the only place that talked about Colt Canada.

Im glad I got my SA15.7 and IUR. And currently sourcing a 2nd Sa15.7 to mount my IUR on. There's no way in hell i'm paying top dollar for a Colt USA stripped lower.

It was fun while it lasted, I got free Colt Canada gear during the contests, Matt was truly a great rep.
