Norc CQ-A (M4) 5.56mm My 1st AR type rifle

I'm keeping an eye on this thread as the CQ-A was one I have been looking at getting. Please keep making your posts, it's nice to know beforehand what issues to keep an eye out for.
Nice price at Marstar, better than the local shop. Does anyone know what the shipping/handling would be on this? I have not purchased anything from Marstar yet.

Got my SA20 from Korth (distributor) last year. At the time, it was the only way to get the mil discount and green furniture. By the time the IUR came out, it was done through the retailers.

Got my SA15.7 through Al Flaherty's last week... unfortunately the green furniture is no longer available :(

I live in Vancouver and saw a Norinco 20 inch (c7?) version at a "local dealer." All 3 barrel lengths are available for a similar price. I like the look of the longer barrel. I've been on the fence about a Norc for a while. All the posts in this thread have been very helpful in making the decision to take the plunge ;0)

Hmmmm. That's not good. I'd like to see a few more than 70 rounds before parts have to be replaced. I'm thinking of ordering a Norc. And I've been reading this with interest.

I guess it'll come down to support and timing for the fix. Keep us posted!!

Most get fixed, Norc issues always been extractor issues with these AR15, not a huge deal.

I called Marstar on the discount. It only applied to the regular price of $699

Yeah a guy suppose to be holding a 10.5" for me. Extractor issues always been a issue. Most of the time they lack a buffer which fixes them.

you guys are lucky to have genuine Chinese CQAs and could solve the problems with genuine patrs should any appear .
The country i live in is located in Asia and has a long historical tradition of gunsmithing and manufacturing . It is always a matter of concern for us to believe whether the weapon we are purchasing is genuine or locally made .

I wanted to have a weapon based on AR platform and was looking for some good option . Once I came across a a gun purported to be a Colt , but it was subsequently proved to be a fake one . Atlast , a dealer informed me about the arrival of a Chinese clone of M4 rifle . It is called CQA 5.56 semiauto rifle. As I wanted a genuine Chinese riifle , so the dealer assured me about its genuineness , but felt strange in hands . The upper was also not fully aligned with lower too . Yet thje dealer insisted on its authenticity . I took it to the range and it fired the American green tip rounds flawlessly but did not cycle the chinese Nornico rounds at all . I returned the piece and asked for new one . I was asked to wait till the new shipment arrives and after two weeks I got a new gun . This one felt to be genuine when it came in hands . The upper and lower were alligned perfectly . I filled two magazines of 30 rounds by altering one round of green tip American and Chinese 223 ammo and fire it rapidly . The gun functioned flawl;essly.
I replaced the original cheep looking front hand guards and butt stock and have mounted a Redfield 4-12x44 scope on it . Waiting for some cloudy day to zero the gun .

The front sight on my CQ-As are adjustable.

That's a completely new thing . If adjustable means that it comes out but with difficulty ,
Than it corroborates with what we know already, and if it means some thing that we don't know and in this case , you are requested to plz elaborate for the collective benefit of the community
