Because my favorite powders from Alliant are no longer available, I started looking at different powders for reloading. I found recipes with IMR-4064 for the. 260 Rem, .30-30 Win, 44 mag, .35 Whelen, .358 Norma, 9.3x62, .270 win, .30-06, .35 Winchester, .303 British and even the. 45-70. It seems one could standardize on 1 powder for everything. Has anyone else been doing this?

It's a good one for sure. My use, 458x2inch with 500 gr FMJ, 308 with 170 spire points, 30-30 with RN 170s, 356 with 250 gr cast.
And in the 30-06 Garand, 150 gr bullets.
Although IMR 4895 meters a bit better, I found the 4064 to be less temperature sensitive during August shoots with stiff handloads.

IMR 3031 is almost as versatile too.

I have 8 pounds of varget but I was worried about supply drying up so I spent some time with imr4064 in my 223 and 308 and I don't think I will switch. Imr4895 is also working well for me. Both are easy to find locally

Is Re#15 not a similar burn rate as IMR 4064? It is fairly versatile as well....Win 760 for .250/3000 7x57 7-08 .284 win .270 ....Win 748 .222 .223 7.62x39 .300 Savage .308 30-30 ..........Harold

I've been using 4064 since I started reloading in 1980. Shot up about 40 lbs so far. Mostly in military rifles. I've tried some of the other common medium burners- both 4895's, Varget, 4320 ,3031, 748 and R-15. Best consisent accuracy with 4064. Calibers include 6.5x55, 7x57, 8x57, 7.62x54R ,7.7x58 7.5x55 Swiss, 6.5x52 Italian, 7.5x54 MAS, 303 Br, 308 and 3006 ( Garand)..

Only downside I've found with 4064 is that it doesn't meter as well as ball or shorter stick powders. It is quite often available when some others are not.

I do have a pound of RL-15 but I haven't seen any for sale in over a year. I love RL-19 in my. 358 Norma s but can’t find any of that anywhere neither. And I don't have anymore.

Gun shows are your best bet, as I am set for the drought with enough RE#22,RE#15 + RE#19. I found RE#19 almost identical for charge weight to H4831 in my .308NM and .338 Win mag Harold
