C8 IUR Build

Danish clone?

Nope. Slightly off due to the upper being from the Dannish ones. But it will be done up with the RCMP accessories. Minor change will be the lighter Danish upper, and a PWS enhanced buffer tube instead of the articulating single QD point at the back of the lower as per the RCMP version. RCMP C8 IUR 2.0. The rest will be correct.

You should go Danish!

And then just buy the IUR they will release as a full gun hahaha. It will probably be identical to the RCMP issued one.

Probably, but you can't get it completely identical. They have RCMP on the lower as part of the roll mark. The irony is the ergo grip and LMT Sopmod stock I use anyways on a bunch of my AR rifles, since I bought my first LMT rifle. The combo works well for me. So this is a fairly easy sell for me to go this route.

Laser etching!!!

I kid. I know your pain. I have a clone project on the go as well. The right lower is impossible to find.

On that note: The only addition I was thinking of is a Geisselle SSA trigger.

That's actually part of the RCMP specs on their rifles. Geisselle SSA is what is on theirs. It's a very nice trigger. Double taps are dead on as well.

Fugly front sight.

Do rcmp normally rock Aimpoints? I would have expected eotechs!

ERT use Eotech a lot. The patrol carbines C8 IUR rifles have Aimpoints. More robust and better battery life. May have multiple users as they aren't personal issue. Needs to be hardier and not run out of juice fast.

That looks like a poser picture by someone who didn't take the course. First off why is it in cells? Second, I would bet this guy is right handed, yet the rifle is setup with sling and he's holding it as if left handed? The sling is twisted, and no gun on the left side, with the baton on the left like a right handed person. Then there is the vest over top a patrol jacket. Someone lent the setup to this guy for the photo. Must have been a slow night shift. That being said, yes that is the right patrol carbine at least.

looks like my IUR build is close to the RCMP carbine by pure accident, I did not even know it existed.
already have the ergo grip, just need sights and maybe a different fore-grip,
what foregrip is on the RCMP carbine? looks like a tango down too in the pic just in black.
