After going thru a few 1911 in .45 and sold my last one a couple months ago, I am having my withdrawl. What this mean is that I am on a hunt for another one. Now I know most people will say and even maybe smack me in the back of head, "Get it in .45 or its not a real 1911". My ammo situation dictates that I will be getting my next 1911 in 9mm (flame suit on).

So here is the deal, any of you CGN'ers out there know of a manufacture that make a 1911 in 9mm commander size with a railed frame and a threaded barrel? :d Any help and direction pointing is greatly appreciated.

Wolverine...SAM Thunderbolt, stainless...now in 9mm...I have this same unit in .45 (#002!! and on sale:) ) and OMG is it a nice unit. Worth way more then the price I paid!! :) if the 9mm is half the unit, you will be more then happy. Tell Brent I sent ya:)

nice...but its a government model.....:(

edited. I just saw the SAM tactical commander! but its in 45....that is pretty much what I want but in 9mm

I know what you mean - I've had a few 1911's in the past and went a few months without one. I almost immediately started "browsing". I thought of 9mm's. Para, SAM and Taurus were all considered, but then I broke my hand in an accident, so I bought a Browning 1911-22 in 22lr. It is an awesome rimfire pistol! ... but now that my hand has mostly healed I got a 45 again "phew" it's a relief. I'll constantly be on the lookout for cheap .45 ammo, yes, but I only have to shoot a few mags to get my fix during a range trip (I usually have other guns with me anyways). I have a cz in 9mm and I don't know if any 1911 in 9mm will shoot better.
I got an amazing deal for a commander sized Remington 1911 r1. Pics are of the browning and the Remington

Thanks. I just got it & looking forward to trying it out tomorrow. I know I made a good decision with this purchase

sig sauer makes a railed, threaded 1911.
If I were to spend more on a 1911, it would probably be a sig.
They have a stainless 9mm that I would love to have, but it's extremely rare here in canada & was also beyond my 1911 budget

Seraphim Armoury has the railed commander etc.. In 9mm I believe

thanks I just looked at their website, looks like the Ghost is what I am after. Now I have to find a gun shop that deals with that particular distributor, it seems they no longer sell to public.

Just contact them. As far as I know they still operate the same, with a pre order cutoff several times a year and then they have a run of them built

Call me silly. Altho serpahim are probably geeat guns. I now got my eyes set on a sig1911 scorpion carry threaded barrel

You gotta buy what's a treat to the eye. If you don't smile when you open your case, you've bought the wrong gun ;)

Thanks guys. Now to track one down......it seems most of the common shops here in cgn don't have them in stock. I know irunguns does, but at 1150usd :( . May have to bite the bullet on this one

I did the "1911 thing" and sold them all. My Sig's/Beretta's just fit me like a glove and I can't justify another platform that doesn't feel as good. I think they are overrated guns and the OP should expect to sell his new 1911 after the thrill is gone, just like he did for the others.

^Tens of thousands and more, would not agree with Debbie downer there

Did you see the part where he bought and sold all his 1911's? Willing to bet that the pattern continues. There are other pistols out there with better ergonomics.

Just my opinion from what I gather from his first post. You can think what you want.

I was referring mostly to your "overrated" comment.

100 years and going stronger than ever speaks otherwise.

Seraphim's model is the "Ghost" and it fits all the OP's requirements. I have two Seraphims and am very pleased with the guns and the people who supplied them to me. To me, both my Seraphim 1911's are worth more than what I paid.
