We lay on our strong side and shoot the rifle sideways. With a AR-15, I find it can be made very comfortable and stable by:
Collapsing the butt, so I can get a good sight picture through the optic,
Resting head on the ground,
Using middle finger on the trigger, instead of trigger finger,
Using the practice shoot to learn where to aim, to center the group.
I have found that I can get mostly bulls in this shoot.
On the other hand, I when it comes to the shooting on the move, I am happy to just get 10 hits, anywhere on the paper. Anyone got any coaching suggestions?
We can ask them to start using bigger paper.
