I agree. It's a classic styled rifle and deserves classic rings and scope. I have seen several set up with Leupold rings and a VX-1 3-9 and it is a very sharp looking setup. TC

Just kidding, I realize that it's very minor and difficult to see, but I feel it adds a touch of "tactical" which spoils it for me.

Not talking about the choice of scopes here. Also that viper is every bit as good as my zeiss. The rails are not really noticeable.
