My 22 shoots 1/2" groups at 50 yards/meters all day! Really? Prove it!

Looks a bit different now as it has a Harrell tuner on it, stock has been finished with a 60/40 mix of Tung/Tru oil and teflon tape where the stock rides the rest

22forever that rifle is beautiful and shoots pretty good too!!

Looks like we'll have to make a 1/4" challenge for you.
 
Well it's been quite awhile since I started this thread, and until today I never attempted the challenge. I am happy to say that I did it on my first attempt.

The rifle is a Winchester 52C mounted in to a custom made thumb hole stock. The scope is a vintage Davis Optical Spot-Shot 20X. I was using Lapua Midas Plus ammo.

Here are my group sizes at 50 meters.

This is one of the most definite "My Rifle Will Shoot 1/2 Inch Groups All Day Long". Done Horizontally, Vertically and Diagonally! I don't know what other way you could do it! 23 or maybe even 24 groups under .3 . . . time to start another thread. Cost: $30.00 . . . for everything else there is MasterCard!

That is absolutely the finest shooting I have ever seen with a rim-fire. I thought my 40x was a good shooter I have shot two groups of 5 shots under .100 but your target has so many under .100 just amazing and using center X ammo

You might shoot 6 or 7 more groups under .100 groups with Midas + or X-act or maybe not ?
 
I got out again with another Winchester 52C. I messed up on my first group of my first attempt. All groups were shot at 50 meters. I have a Leupold 8.5-25 scope mounted. The ammo used was RWS-50.

Used .210 as bullet diameter

I cleaned the bore, then started testing without the tuner.
All ammo was Eley (Match 1063 fps, and TEAM at 1085 and 1057 fps). Started on the lower left and worked up anti-clockwise.
Temp: 25.2
Humidity: 46 percent
Barometric: 1017
Negligible wind and no flags.
Replaced the tuner and set at "0", ammo fired in the same sequence, Average 0.3864 and one group (TEAM at 1085 fps) crowded the .5 so went from best to worst.

Very nice shooting guys !

I'm sure I will join the *1/2 club* soon with my CZ452.
I still have to test different ammo in it.
I almost did it a week ago, i did 4/5 under 1/2 but its a fail.
To be honest the problem is probably me, i'm a little rusty this year, need more time at the range.

Pretty sure I completed this, how much you subtract from od of group :) CZ452 style with CCI AR Tac - I even shot 9 groups to make sure. Cheers
