I'm about to get my first pistol here in a few days. Like the title says, its a USP 9mm.

I'm just wondering if there is a .40cal mag that will work with the 9mm? I'm hoping I can get a few more rounds in it.

I have a .40 USP and a 9mm on the way, I'll let you know in a week or so when the 9mm arrives.

If its anything like using Glockk 22 mags in a Glock 17, it will work but will be more prone to stovepipe stoppages when feeding.

I will note that my conclusion from the Glock experiment was that it'sy not worth the compromise in reliability for the extra 2 rounds or so.

Only 2 extra? When I had my Cx4 in 9 I was using Beretta 96 .40 cal mags they all held 15 rounds of 9. They also worked better than the 9mm mags the rifle came with. They wouldn't always hold the bolt open on the last shot.

It'll work but you get more malfunctions. I have a 9mm conversion barrel on my usp40.. Good for casual range only.. Wouldn't use em in anything else
