Restricted, restricted, restricted. Meh!

How about an antique SIG? Schweizerische Industrie Gesellschaft was rolling out these nice Swiss Ordnance M1882 revolvers in the late 1800s ... though most were made by Waffenfabrik Bern. I even have the RCMP letter that says this one is a SIG

And where are the prohibs? The top one in this picture is a P225 with the proper (prohib) length barrel, and the lower has a factory 106mm barrel, which of course SIG didn't make ...

I just discovered that I don't even have pictures of my favorite SIG pistols: the P228 prohib. Yes, I have restricted P228s, and P229s, and M11s, and even a wild little ported (prohib) P229, but the very best P series SIG, in my humble opinion, having owned them all, is the original, prohibited P228. There is really no difference in function and accuracy between the P228 restricted, and the P228 prohibited. But guess which one I take to the range more, and which one makes one hole groups? I'll get some pictures posted later today.

P226. She is a little old, West German built, still shoots just fine. I like that the date stamp is my initials. JE = 1984

Had it out for the first time today – 250 rounds - guys this gun is amazing. Sprung heavily so it ate full power 10 mm loads without any problems.

Factory SAO trigger is quite good, although has a slightly longer reset than the SRT. Pull is crisp at 6lbs (my SA pull on my P226 w SRT is 5lbs).

Heavy, comfortable, and accurate.

Blacked out, match adjustable rear sight with outline tritium dot in the front - this is how I setup the sights on my 1911s too. Dialed the sights in with 2 shots and didn't move them again.

My collection is shrinking, but I have my trusty '84 P226, '77 P220 9mm, German P226, and German P220 45, though the 45 P220 hopefully won't be in the family much longer.
