Valve grind paste on a CZ "Yikes".

I haven't handled any CZ's in person, but have done some reading. I'm looking for an accurate midrange bolt 22wmr, and may be interested in either a 452 or 455.
I've read that the 452 has gloss bluing, but the 455 is matt. Is this true of all the variations? Also that the 452 has a less finished appearance with more machining marks and sharper edges on the receiver. Not sure that any of this makes any difference, but I do like gloss blue.
And while the consensus seems to be that either will be good rifle, many have commented that if available, should get the 452. So, it seems it is more desirable. Why?
Also, what are the opinions on heavy barrel varmint vs sporter barrel on a .22wmr? I don't live near any gopher patches, so high rates of fire aren't likely to be an issue for barrel heat.

452's are desirable but 22mags aren't known for being real accurate and ammo is pricier 2.5-3x.
Do you want a 22 mag? Ammo is about $16/50. As for accuracy in 22lr, I posted a friends group between a 452 varmint and a 455 varmint, the 455 won by .01 at 50 yds. We do a lot of shooting each year at gophers, (close to 7000 rds. in 3 1/2 days). 22 cost about 5-600 dollars 22 mag over 2 grand- I could not do it. The difference in the guns comes down to how it is stocked and what you like. I would have no second thought on a 455 or a 452. The Canadian is an interesting gun, you will be happy.

Hmm. It's the 22wmr that I am considering.
