AR-15's

its the comp blowing the gases directly at it that i would be worried about...

As I said... From what Ive read there shouldn't be any issues in relation to that. Also, you can't tell, but the light is in a location that sits above and out of the way of most of the gases.

Please note... The grip pod is for prone shooting and bench shooting at the range, it's not really part of my load out lol.

From what I've read there shouldn't be any issues (besides soot build up on the lens). Think pistol lights... They're right next to the barrel too.

Yes, but that's a brake which redirects gas and concussion sideways, and it's on a 5.56 which is way, way higher pressure than even something like a 10mm Auto.
Very nice rifle, but I'd just move the light back an inch or two.

I'd take the light and the laser off completely, I have no use for crap like that on a range only toy.
And fold down the front sight, co-witness is a waste of time and just clutters the sight image. If you have a quality dot sight on there you don't need the irons.
To each their own though, whatever floats your boat.

The light and laser is a personal choice, but it is hard to shoot what you can't see, just saying. The front sight shouldn't be an issue if you use the reddot properly with both eyes open. Rounds should impact on the dot so seeing below the dot is not necessary, especially on targets that don't/can't shoot back. Optics still fail and a good set of irons is essential especially if you wish to compete in a service rifle match in both stock and open categories but YMMV.

The light and laser is for night vision. I plan on eventually trying out hog hunting in the states... This is also my go to gun. I have this, and my pistol (P226 Dark Elite), and that's it. As for the lay out, the other day I had to change out the mount for the light, it doesn't work well with hand placement. The lights now way back and the dbal (ir/red) is a notch back and the front sight is now folded. I'm liking this set up the best... She's pretty sweet. As for the BUIS... I'd rather have the security of having a back up...

I really want another AR. In 300 blk. 9-13" barrel. I've been looking at the pws mk109. But the price tag is hefty. I don't see many other options. But I don't know where to look. Help!

yup BMC is my new favorite flavor, That mag is just for show and tell.

Cant wait to try out that Geissele trigger this weekend... This rifle might take the Tavors spot as my favorite black rifle.

Now all I need is a good sling. Still havent decided what to go with.

Beauty! I used to think vcas was the way to go but I'm hooked on the savvy sniper now, slowly changing everything over.

Personally do not care for the bungee section of the sling as it keeps getting hung up on gear and clothing during action drills. Went a a smooth Magpul which for me worked much better.
