I'm going the Mod 0 route, and at first I was after the RIS, until I convinced myself (after reading and reading) that the RAS was a more solid rail. Hope I made the right choice!

The RIS is almost impossible to find. Even in the US.

As I understand it, the major differences are the methods used to attach to the handguard cap/delta ring, and barrel profiles each rail can accommodate.

They are things that were last made like 13+ years ago. I do'nt think you need it because only the SAS has that special gas block to take the HK GL.

All Colt eh, well done sir I love it.
sometimes my DD upper feels wrong but the hammer forged barrel is almost worth the sacrilege.
It's all dressed up in KAC now, got the T1 mount (although there is something wrong with it right now) and I should get a 300m micro tomorrow...
