I heard the rifle registry was removed, i purchased an sks at a store and only had to flash my PAL for half a second and then pay for it, is there no paperwork whatsoever now?
I would have thought they would have to verify the license still being valid. For all you know he could have been issued a court ordered firearms prohibition last week, last month or last year.
there is no requirement for that , the person selling only needs a reasonable expectation that it is valid ......
it is NOT his responsibility to start phone every government agency to make sure you have been behaving yourself .
if you have a court order prohibition placed against you , it is the court and the rcmp's responsibility to make sure you no longer have a valid pal .....
I have no idea why so many people are so quick to be doing the work that the rcmp are required to do .
