I would miss deer hunting, but I think I would settle on upland. I'll still be able to do it when I'm 70, and I'm not sure I can say that about deer. The weather is generally nicer than the rifle hunt. I can walk for miles just looking at the scenery and the colours and not have to worry about how I'll get my game back to the truck. That would also let me indulge in my love for English SxS shotguns.
Because I live in prime moose country, it has been primary table fare for many, many years. Young Bull Moose.......yummy!!
I'm with you Dave... there is nothing in the woods tastier than a two year old bull moose.
. I'd be interested in seeing pictures of all of your 200+" whitetails.
Dogleg, you cheat..........my first choice, without a doubt and by a large margin, would be elephants. I think I have posted once or twice how I just love them big grey cuddly critters........three or four dry land hippos every year would keep the adrenaline count up as well. But Angus outlawed these from the start so I was forced to choose a second.......
I would also be very happy spending the rest of my hunting days looking for a 68-70" kudu.........may not even exist but I'd sure have fun glassing bull herds and rocky hillsides in the search for one. And the weather would be outstanding every day without doubt.............
