Had the.243 out again today, just keeps shooting better every time out. Would put 3 holes touching, let it cool down, 3 more holes touching.... Starting to like this thing.

Just picked up one of the Vanguard 2's in 308win at the Calgary store. They still have a few different calibers in stock I believe. You can't go wrong for $399.
I am looking forward to getting this rig setup to shoot but I don't think I can use it in public until I paint the stock!

At least they don't do orange & green like in TO or yellow like in "Hongcouver"

It's plain, but it blends well with the bush around here.

I've got 2 kinds of stone finish paint, dark earth and obsidian, not sure yet....
I'm actually feeling bad about painting it....it's just so terribly done and unnatural looking with that orange/black/brown, I'll probably never own anything this ugly again lol

I hope our Canadian stock makers are following this thread. Must have been dozens of these bought by cgner's who would love a nice lightweight synthetic or a nicely figured walnut for their new s2's.

I re-painted mine but in hindsight I could have lived with for one simple reason..... it fits me so well.

I have mine sanded and scuffed but have no acetone on hand. I do however, have isopropyl alcohol 99% on hand. Will this do?

I think a good clean with the isopropyl alcohol and you should be good to go!
