Hello new to the pistol thing and for my first pistol im buying a desert eagle 44 rem mag strait black nothing fancy but I need to find one in the saskatoon pa Regina area and do I need a hand club gun membership to buy it
Again new to this and need some info

Thanks

Pretty sure Saskatoon Gunworks has a couple. And your gonna need a range membership in order to shoot it anywhere. However, you should be technically able to buy it without the membership so long as you have your rpal.

You need:
1. A Restricted Class PAL
2. A gun club membership (to prove you are target shooting, unless you are a collector)
3. To fix whatever it is in your brain that is leading you to buy a Deagle as your first pistol.

If you don't have hands the size of baseball gloves, you'll never be able to control the Deagle effectively. Do you know how expensive it is to shoot a .44 Magnum? Do yourself and your fellow shooters at whatever range you are at a favour: go down to your local gun shop and get properly FITTED for a good 9mm that you can learn on and learn to shoot safely and effectively. THEN AND ONLY THEN go and spend whatever thousands of dollars for your Deagle.

Buying a DE as your first handgun is like buying a Dodge Viper as your first car.
Cool but impractical and potentially dangerous!
Any reason why you would choose this as your first handgun? For the same kind of coin, there are many ###y 9mm and .45s that are quality, accurate, more reliable and cheaper to shoot.

fell in love with it i have long fingers so most of the pistols at the wild west shooting and they feel like im holding a toy ex the 45 but it still felt too small then i tried the deagle the wallet hurt at $10 a shot but it felt so nice in my hands never had so much fun firing a gun ex my da50 also it was a pleasant to shoot the 9mm liked to snap the deagle kinda rolled or something hard to explain
oh i also shoot 44 in my rossi rh and ruger carbine thats why i want a 44 also im still a kid that loves arny movies.

If you really want to DE, go for it, but also buy a cheap 22 or 9mm that you can do the majority of your practice with and then finish off the range trip with a few mags in the DE.

im autistic i cant spell or do math or much of anything really being afraid of people sucks too but i still try to smile every day and be my self not what the "normal" people want me to be and if being normal means being a jerk to others ill be abnormal any day of the week thank you sir and pls have a nice night

you don"t have to justify anything to anyone. for the most part, you'll get constructive comments around here.

Thank you for your honesty and great outlook on life.
As long as you know the limitations and reliability issues common to DEs, and have done your research, I wish you luck and success in your search for one. Charging you $10/ shot for a .44mag is daylight robbery!

#### em! If you want a deagle buy a deagle go to saskatoon gun works, last time I was there I'm pretty sure they had one.

Buy an AF2011

Deagles are for sissies!

Seriously though. I bought one (44 mag) early in my handgun collecting.

I took it to the range twice. I hated that ####ing gun. I was ready to sell it when a wise range member suggested I either buy one in 50ae or get the exchange kit.

Bought to 50ae Calibre exchange kit for it....I then loved that ####ing gun!

Having a DE in anything but 50 Action Express is like having a #### star that's been sewn shut.

We called 'em 'Desert Beagles' because outside Hollywood and the movie theatres...they were dogs.

The boys are right, IMO, often there's a big difference between the guns we want and the guns we need. I dunno how many noobs I've seen that bought cannons only to discover they can't shoot them. The full power 44 mag is not a fun gun; prolonged exposure to full power loads can turn anyone into a flinching idiot.

For the best shooting experience the noob needs lots of cheap, fun practice and is best served by the 22 to get thei basics. To put this in perspective, I've been in this game for 35 years and I've seen any number of 44's and cannons at the range... But less than a dozen could actually shoot the gun to it's full potential with full power loads. I was one of them until I grew up and said to hell with this recoil nonsense ten years ago. The passing of the metallic silhouette game also led to my abandoning the big guns.

All that goes out the window with target loads though, with patty-cake gallery loads the 44 becomes a short range sweetheart ... But I dunno if the Desert Beagle can handle low power cast lead loads.

I don't know what they reload power wise but it was no worse the my rossi ranch hand one handed. I can say though I love recoil the only small caliber guns I have are my gevarm a3 and my t97 the rest are .30 and up my fave being my da50

Also I hated the 9mm the most the guns snaped to much to me at lest and for what ever resone the 45lc revolver was nice to but I think I shot pretty good with the deagle.
