You are correct Sir: TNW, US Ordnance Inc. and Rapid Fire

Here are some FRTs that were given to me for the other Co. that are cleared by RCMP. I would fact check those.

Northwest Imports (Maynard Arms, MAT, NWI): 45004
Rapid Fire: 124986
TNW: 117419 and 64204-2(M1919a4) I think the first number might be for the M37(1919 variant).......the M1919a4 is valid and is the one under which mine came in.
US Ordnance: 117329
Valkyrie Arms: 44723

I was also given this at the time of my research pre-import, pretty useful.

YouTube has an exc vid on headspacing, very easy to do.

How stable is the MG42 AA tripod w/ adapter when shooting the 308 recoil ? and may I ask where you bought it ?
I can see how more comfy the stance would be...Lol
 
Shhhhh Kevin he doesn't know that!!!! In all seriousness it's a beautiful setup. Maybe one day with some luck I will be able to own one (the 1919 that is)

On a side note, I heard Alberta Tactical tried to replicate the TNW design and submitted to RCMP. Got rejected. He is now working on a design that doesn't allow the receiver to be taken apart, so that full auto mods be made. Aesthetically it would look exactly to same with fake rivets on the sideplates just like the original.
I am rooting for him. He did get the Modern Hunter out there as a non-restricted AR looking rifle. If we succeeds, we will have our very own 1919s made right here in Canada.

I agree with MOST of what you say. :) I know guys that run links on .308 and it works fine. I only use cloth belts, and I have no reason to switch. I also owned two at one point, and sold the .30-06.

Best tripod setup in my opinion is actually a BREN gun tripod with adapter. Much more stable and accurate than the MG34 AA tripods (which I also have). However - it's a much heavier setup.

Spade grips - I had a set built for me here locally, but those Ohio Ordnance ones looked REALLY sweet. Interesting to hear they didn't work without mods.

They are a LOT of fun if they run properly (mine has been 100%) and draw a crowd at the range. Many guys will question the legality of your belts... keep the details handy... shuts up range nazi's pretty quick. Also, for extra realism, there is a girl in the US that can make repro crates.. completes the setup! Not super practical from a transport perspective, but keeps it all tidy, along with spare parts and barrels!

What would be the best repellent answer for the legality of the belts?
"No limit to belts that the design predates 1945. Meaning 250 round belts in the M1919A4 are just fine. If you were to run metal link through the M1919A4 though, that would be a 5 round limit." <---- Is this true ?
Do links inflict wear on any parts of the gun?

You need to run original links if you use the gun, you can not use modern links.
