ATRS Baby!!! Right in your neck of the woods too.....

Does anyone have any experience with matched scope rings (they are made from the same piece of material then sold in pairs). I wanted to get TPS but can't find a Canadian dealer, looked at Badger. Any others?
There are several versions of "matched" rings.
We make our rings differently and they are 100% identical from 1 to the other of said pair. They have to be, due to the manner in which we manufacture them which is unlike virtually all other rings on the market.
Most rings , even the 1s that claim to be matched sets have a LARGE gap between either the ring halves like badger, NF, Leupold, Vortex, Farrel, TPS as well as most other brands. ATRS rings have a .010" gap between the ring halves which coincidentally is the width of the EDM wire used to cut the rings in half.
OP I see you are local, why not come by and see for yourself the difference between our rings and the rest?
That's only 6 thou of diametral interference, assuming nominal diameters of both, which neither will ever be. Do you cut to a smaller ID to permit sufficient clamping force on undersized tubes?
No. The better quality scopes have pretty good tolerances for tube diameter. Typical of ATRS we work with exact numbers so our 30mm and 34mm rings are in fact 30mm or 34mm inside diameter. With a .010 gap between the upper and lower rings there is still plenty of "crush" available to keep the scope in place even with the heaviest recoiling rifles.
To date we have encountered only 1 30mm scope that would not stay put and it was a low quality offshore product made specifically for 1 of the big box stores. Typically those looking for high quality rings are using them on a high quality optic.
That's really interesting. Thanks for the reply. I wonder if a fit class could be obtained from the scope manufacturers themselves?
With a wire EDM machine, you could tailor matched rings to the truly premium brands. That might require better tolerances in the rail than are required, when all is said and done.
