Cabelas CCI primer ripoff????

$0.045 for a primer.

What is the bullet and brass worth?

Very seldom do we see guys complaining about the price of projectiles or brass on here, just sayin. ;)

Like buying a 50K truck and complaining about the cost of mudflaps.

Do you want to get paid the same wage each year or would you like to balance with inflation.

I bet the people at CCI want the same thing too.

Did you receive a 30+ percent increase this year? WE need more Canadian companies producing these type of cartridge related products....seems like US companies bought out all the Canadian ones and now we are at their mercy. Pretty much the same thing with powders.

My first time at Bass Pro in Moncton last month I paid 76.00 for a 1000 CCI-BR4 primers it was last box they had, I ripped them out of his hand I did not care how much they were at the time. They are just to hard to find in our area.Call me a sucker for paying the inflated price.

CCI BR-2 & BR-4's are always way more, even more than F205M/F210M.....$8 per hundred is normal

Yeah, prices are going up, US dollar and inflation combined ... trouble is that the large buyers like Cabelas are better positioned to restock after the previous years of shortage and the first available prices are going to be higher (their $8 now in hand vs someone else's $5 on back-order subject to change plus shipping). I saw a couple of days back that higginson had BR primers available and about 2/3 the current price of Cabelas.

Primers were cheap for a long time as well as powder.

If you willingly pay for a product how was this a rip off sound to me like an uninformed buyer, not the stores fault they are only looking to get as much for there products as possible, and I think they got it

It was only one brick of CCI small pistol primers for darn near $60. I did not say I gave up my first born. The reason for the post is to inform people like myself where a deal might be. I would be interested in Le Baron's price of primers after they receive the +30% dollar adjustment.

Grock-co, have you filled up your car or truck lately? Do you think fuel prices are not a rip off? Still bought some?

If we apply this logic we would be all living in Maytag boxes under the bridge.

$45-50 seems to be the going rate in Calgary for CCI and Federal, Winchester runs about 10% more and Remington another 10% on top of that.
A few cents per round difference doesn't factor into my shooting plans at all. Sure, I'm as cheap as anybody else but availability determines what I use not price.

No way I'm living under your needle filled bridge lol.

What are you paying in PA for CCI primers?

Hey no needles under that bridge. Big foot keeps it secure ;)
By the way Kelly I am one that does think they can still be hiding somewhere especially based on a couple visits I made to BC some years ago and seen how remote some areas are
Cheers

no, sir. all factory springs in my glock and shadow.

Funny, I too shoot the DA small rifle primers and have put 3,000 through my CZ with a (lighter than stock) 13 lb main spring. I've perhaps had 2 light primer strikes so far but I also had the occasional one with CCI primers.

If you are serious about selling the DA primers PM me with the price and if if is acceptable we can meet at Target Sports.

I don't buy from either place in Prince Albert, always Saskatoon and typically Cabelas.

Our prices do warrant a road trip.

I pay whatever the price tag is at Cabelas at time. I buy BR primers also so $40-50 for a brick doesn't seem outrageous for regular, it is the cheapest part of the components , a quarter pounder meal is $12 , so really , skip a fast food lunch and things are paid for.
