Walther WA 2000

Have you had any offers to buy this incredible rifle? I imagine I would have to sell a minimum of one organ to afford it...but it might be worth it. I think I might even pay just to fondle that rifle....you might want to consider charging for viewings.

Who invited the buzzkill?

Just a realist, I sold off most of my high end restricted, partly because I foresaw Turd nation but mostly due to the local range fudds. My brother has been a Yank since the 80's and has houses in Florida and N.C. He has CCW and a small collection, maybe I'll visit him for a few months year and shoot his toys, I'll even pay for the ammo.

With only 179 units (am I right) made, it will probably be probably be below the RCMP`s radar.

The OP should try to export it to the US. I remember reading a few years ago that a big time collector paid north of 70 grand for a 300 win mag version. This one would probably be close, with the exchange rate, he would really clean up.

Nice rifle, would love one in 300WM.

LOL, you're kidding right. They banned guns that didnt even exist in Canada before. And lets not even talk about the High Standard 10.

It's very nice of you to share. I'd be afraid to use it! Must be impossible to get parts for

Thanks nick, my pleasure.
I was afraid to use it too at first but thought to myself was stupid to have such a great rifle and not shooting it :)
Very pleasant to shoot and really accurate even though it's semi auto.
Some parts available in Germany and USA.
I'd rather not to talk about the price for those though !

Man aren't you guys nervous with all those high end restricted in this political climate?

Hello John,
Don't really know what to say !
I think we can't live our lives based on the politicians electoral expectations and prohibitions.
I love guns and will enjoy the liberty I currently have to buy and own firearms as long as it last.
When all our liberties be taken away by them, I will adapt to the new situation once again till the following change.
I refuse to live in any fear because of them :)

Is the WA 2000 difficult to disassemble? Do you have any pictures of it disassembled?

That's a Unique Alpine you posted a pic of right? What caliber?

Not difficult to disassemble but there is a lot of parts when completely taken apart.
Unfortunately I didn't take any picture of the rifle when stripped.
Yep, Unique Alpine TPG-1 in .300 WM.

Any and all firearms can be banned at any time, for any or no reason at all. Restricted has nothing to do with it.

Look at what they are, according to some reports, going after next: SKS, m305, Tavor, T97A, CZ858... all non-restricted... all widely owned and available. Coincidence? Probably not.

The whole mindset of... "while other stuff is probably at risk, I should be o.k. with the stuff I have", perfectly dovetails into the classic divide and conquer strategies that have made Canadian gun owners so weak and ineffective. They have played us like a fiddle for decades... and we cower in our corners.. hoping against hope: "I should be o.k. with what I have".

I agree with ED, just enjoy what you can while you can. In the long-term we're all dead anyway, and nothing to do with firearms ever was (or could have been) guaranteed anyway.

Did they not ban a prototype that never even hit production with c-68? op that's quite the pea shooter, definitely all function with a tiny bit of form left over :p. Wanna trade a 2010 silverado fully loaded with 75K km strait across..yeah i wouldn't either and on second thought i don't feel like having my wife divorce/castrate me. Thanks for sharing
