Thanks for starting this great thread.Here are a couple that I certainly didn't shoot. In fact they died before I was born. They certainly deserve to continue to be admired and I have the owners permission to share the pics I took with cgn. I had the honor and privilege to tour a magnificent trophy room with hundreds of animals and heard incredible stories of the hunts. The rest of the pics should have their own thread when I find the time to post. Does anyone recognize these deer mounts or know where you might find the the most amazing trophy room in Canada that few seem to know about? Think East Coast.

Kind of late to this thread but livefortherut has asked for pics of my mounts and I just thought it would be easier to show them off here. I don't have anything too spectacular and have never been able to connect with that B&C buck yet but these all have special meaning to me and are trophies to me.
Double main beam whitetail that unfortunately had all the tines broken off the second beam, my daughters first black bear, and a big ancient Mulie with 7" bases.
Various European mounts done by one of my best friends. Whitetail, bear, Mule.
Some mounts I'm working on fixing. Actually thinking of having the old heavy 4x4 at the back turned into a shoulder mount. Need to find a good cape though.
Some smaller mounts I threw up on the garage wall. Elk sheds there too.
An elk I'm working on turning into a plaque mount. No, I'm not mounting it to the hood of the Jeep.
And some of the bigger sheds I've found. Unfortunately no matter how hard I hunted these areas, I never ran into any of these guys in the flesh.

Thanks JB, nice mounts I love that double main beam. The B&C will come, i honestly have not scored any of mine as a few are likely book but they are all trophys in my mind of the great times and memories
Hey Ed - where exactly? I hunted western PA (Allegheny area) with my dad from '87 - 95. My first time - I was 16 - opening day, first light, I just stood there - stunned. I counted 55 in 1/2 hour and hunting on the ground, it was all I could do to not get run over. I never shouldered the rifle - I was completely freaked out.
Thanks. Hopefully my hard work pays off with that B&C one day. The mule deer would have made the book had the one side not degenerated so badly. He was really uneven but still net 165. The official scorer said I should have shot him in the 60's when he was in his prime. lol.

Nice mounts, you have a really good taxidermist there! I know #1 won't score too high, but that's a really impressive rack when looking at the mass of the bases. I bet he was an old buck.
I could hear him battling all morning to a point where I just figured it was another hunter. Just after lunch a nice typical that was most definitely a shooter came by. I was trying to get a clear shot when he stopped and looked behind to his back trail. This beast was coming behind him with his ears back and hair up like an angry dog. I gave a few grunts and he came right at me with his head down. Even at 3 power he looked magnificent in the scope. It was very cold and there was frost on every bush. Because he was worked up the breath from his nostrils looked like a crazy dragon. Shot him at around 10 yards with the 30-06. There was not a lot of choice at that time but I certainly wouldn't trade him for the typical that would score much higher.
The very next year I missed my chance at that big typical on the same stand. He was broad side and unaware when I heard what no hunter every wants to hear "CLICK". He was so close that he nearly jumped out of his skin at the sound. He tore into the swamp like his tail was on fire never to be seen again.
That was 20 years ago and I still hunt that stand. I have shot several nice bucks there over the years including this year. Great place to spend the day even if it is just the memories that show up.

Track, I passed up a ~150" 4 pt, saw some forkies, met a bunch of sausage hunters, shooting does and asking where 'all the deer were'...
Had a 170" (that was a split second estimate, he mighta been bigger) perfect 5x5 walk 40 yards, right behind my truck. Unbelievable! Of course I had the keys in the ignition, texting the nephew at the time. When I jumped out, *Bing! Bing! Bing!* from the bloody key in the ignition! And like all the mature bucks, he was crossing in the thick cover. I had no chance to get in on him. None.
I was parked watching this one spot on a remote road, cuz it was an ideal travel area; good fresh sign, on well used trails. Had the right spot picked out alright. But right place, right time didn't quite line up.
Saw a lot of hunters, but after the one look at the big one, I didn't see anything.
Same as the last few couple of years; almost no spare time to hunt. I think I got out 5 days this year, and work was whining at me to leave my tiny few days available and come in to help out.
