Precision/Sniper/Tactical

This is my Humble entry. The Savage 12 FCV (mine is 223) has the aluminium "chassis", Med/heavy fluted barrel and removable box magazine. I have played with the loads a bit and found it is forgiving. I don't have the load data but it's textbook 4064 with 62 grain Hornady V-max.

what the hell, was the point in wasting bandwidth with those pictures?

I have a feeling either a rebarrel, or a full off custom build is going to take place.. If custom lefty is the way to go this time. I know this rifle is too heavy, it was 12.6 pounds with a scope that weighed 560 grams + 150 gram rings, vs the PMII at 1080 plus 250 for the spuhr mount.

Tried out the labradar yesterday, pissing rain had the range to myself for the last 2 hours! I'm having some technical issues with using the internal acoustic microphones, have Richard from myLabradar working on it. Hopefully nothing too major as it functions fine after using the doppler for 10+ shots, then switching back to the internal mics.

The reports are pretty darn awesome, combined stats then each shot has an individual log. I mean tracking from 0.000 S until either impact or it loses tracking. I've looked at some where it stopped reading at 110.18 yards which is close to our 100m backstop at mdrgc. So it tracked until impact, pretty damn cool! There is tons of useful data found in the charts.

could ask you the same

Uhhh He was playing pool with a sharps, and putting toilet paper on it..

This is a god damn precision rifle doing what it does best, in a thread for just those.

lol

put me on your ignore list or take off your grognard hat. I do find your autistic rage amusing, however, so I'll keep you off mine.

Looks like I am assembling the heaviest, most impractical bushwhacking kit possible, but I'm really digging the look and finish of the Sharps. I think I'll be eating my words after a few kilometres of lugging a heavy barrelled 16 pound rifle around, though. Still undecided on whether to mount a creedmoor or a Malcolm sight for long range shooting. The Creedmoor just seems like it might be more satisfying, if less effective

And a little close up on the set triggers and nice finish. This is probably the best $2000 I've ever spent. Got it for 20% off on Marstar, so it's pretty hard to pass up a deal like that. I give it 12 months max before I end up with a Sharps Carbine as well

Billy Dixon knocked a guy off his horse with one from almost a mile away at Adobe Walls in 1874 (.50-90 cal). It is the original LR rifle.

My WO keeps saying he is going to buy a Sharps. I wish he would so I can try it out.

Can't say I'll be doing anything more than saturating the ground with lead from a mile away, but I do plan on busting up some melons and balloons from 400 with irons soon.

He should jump on that sharps if he's thinking about it. Maybe see if there's a boxing day sale on them that's on par with the black friday sales. Curling up in your chair with your Clint poncho and sharps rifle makes watching your spaghetti westerns 100% more enjoyable and only 50% more pitiful

Got me a new stock... waiting for the magwell and bipod adapter. The old adapter wont work on a picatinny rail. :( But feels good man.

One of my M1A in EBR chassis.

Not only some nice rigs, that is some really nice photography, wow.

So, the Magpul Hunter stock doesn't include the bottom metal/magwell adapter to accept mags? Does the stock require bedding?

The magwell is optional. If you don't want it you don't have to use it. The magwell is 75 but includes a mag. Stock literally took 3 min to install. Undo the two hex screws pull out of Remington stock and reinstall in magpul. Done. Lol.

Thanks photography is another hobby of mine.
