Which would bring more $$

Your call..... Just figure you likely have something more replaceable you can sell...... I have switched to rugers from rems but I really like model 7..... If it was still my thing it wouldn't leave my hands...

I know the feeling brad, this is my last 700 variant. Lol. If I sell it, which looks likely, my safes will be Remington free for the first time in my life.

Bollox please PM me with the name of that dealer.

The .325 wsm did not seem to be much of a mover at the gun store I worked at, a very low priced barely used kimber w. wooden stock is probably still sitting there.

Caliber seems pretty cool to me.

Well, it's that time of year again, and once again the evil little fairies have struck leaving me short. I need to sell something quick to make Christmas a go for the kids.

In your opinion which of these two rifles would be worth more or sell quick.

1: Browning X-Bolt composite Stalker in 325 WSM with a Leupold FX2 6x36 and three magazines.

2: Remington Model 7 Stainless Synthetic in 7mm-08 with a Leupold FX3 1.5-5x20 Heavy Duplex.

Brass and Redding deluxe die sets available for each.

Have you considered trying to do a "Pawn" deal with a gun shop?,...you could give them the gun for "X" amount of money and within 3 months,..6 months,..(whatever time frame you and the shop owner agree on), you go back to the shop with the money and maybe $40-$50 extra and get your gun back,...if you show up with the money the shop owner makes a prophet,..if you don't show up he sells the rifle at a prophet,..it's a win win for the shop,...might be worth a shot,..atleast you stand a chance at keeping your rifles. Also you might be able to strike the same deal with a buddy that has a few bucks to spare for a short time. I know this method might be a hit to the "pride",..but it may be worth it in the end,.......anyway,..just a thought,....It sucks to part with guns you can't replace.

PS,..it's nice to see people like yourself with their priorities strait, putting their kids ahead of themselves,...Merry Christmas,..hope it works out for the best for you.

^ I'm thinking, short action, magnum boltface- 450 Marlin.

There is a used one in town that costs more than that...

I tried finding another "non illuminated", Heavy Duplex, VX3 1.5-5x20. Couldn't find one anywhere.

Well you're not getting mine!

A quick trip to Okotoks can cure what ails you though. Any 1.5-5x can become your new favourite 1.5-5x. In fact, my 257 Weatherby currently wears a 1.5-5x that would be a perfect candidate (yes... a 1.5-5x Leupold on a 257 Bee...don't laugh too hard).

Where was this low priced Kimber you speak of?

This was my idea as well- pawn it until you get some funds going. You'll be out a few bucks for interest but you'll get your irreplaceable guns back.

Considering I used fixed 6 or the low power variables more than any other scope for hunting I wouldn't even snicker. IMHO the VX3 1.5-5 is probably the best scope for 99% of hunters. Unless you need LONG range or are vaporizing dirt-dogs at extended range.

I'm not laughing, had a 4X on a 300 H&H for decades, put a lot of meat in the freezer with it.

My latest bad idea is the .450 marlin conversion, even though the .458 WM Zastava tempts me and would cost much less.

I would try to move some safe assets around to get a Win M70 crf in .325 wsm for 600 bucks, running out of guns that aren't keepers though. Though I also know of a model 7 with 2 stocks for less that could be used for the conversion.

Can't help but wonder if in a few years the .325, 270 and .243 wsm's will be going for not much and it's better to hold out on this one.

Spending money you don't have is always stressful. Glad I don't have any family to take care of this Christmas with the economy the last few years.

Thanks Bollox.

Speaking of that store, had one of their fishing guys tell me today that he "didn't really fish".

Model Seven on the EE, currently butchering venison, pics will be up in 4-5 hours.

A few pics are now up due to interest.

Good luck man..

Thanks, obviously the add is popular, getting bombed with PM's and have had several "I'll take it". Just waiting on confirmation from the first gent.

Maybe I didn't ask enough haha. I just hope the new owner enjoys his/her new toy for xmas.
