I prefer the reduced muzzle blast and recoil of the 308 family vs long action equivalents - thus I'm not too concerned about the Tikka being a long action design. The T3 is a light rifle to begin with so not too concerned about the "disadvantage" of it being a long action.
we have a winner!!!T3 were factory chambered in 338 Federal. Purchasing one of those outright wouldn't be much more then rebarreling the 7.08 and you would have 3 rifles .

Well if the polls are getting that skewed I better put in my vote for the 358 Win over the dying 338 Who? The only place to seat a 338 bullet is in a case with a Weatherby headstamp.............
