No I did not spell that wrong...
I was warned not to use it, I figured ,hey I know what I,m doing right..
have been doing only 4-5 cases at a time.
well f**K case is stuck and the rim just came off..
so I know i need the tool to get it out, but 5 out of the 7 people I know that reload tell me this one shot case lube is sh*t.
So are they all right or is it just bad luck.
bbb

I've never had a stuck case with 1 shot and I've been through several cans of it. I set cases in a tray and spray them from opposite sides using a sweeping motion across each row going one direction then do the same thing from the other. And shake the can really well otherwise cases start getting sticky because there isn't enough lube on them (more carrier than lube on the case, carrier evaporates and leaves cases without enough lube.)

I use Imperial sizing wax, and I don't give a second thought to sticking a case in a die. And when necking down cases to .17cal, or .20cal, I don't worry about the case walls buckling.

I've never used it myself but I've read numerous times that Hornady One Shot was great. Sure you used the right one? There's One Shot gun lube and One Shot case lube.

I have always used imperial sizing wax, then one day I decided to try RCBS stuff in a bottle, and then Hornady 1 shot, went immediately back to imperial sizing wax. I'll never use anything but that, or lanolin and alcohol again.

I've had Imperial sizing wax, RCBS spray on case lube, and Lyman spray on case lube.

No issues with Imperial everything always goes in and comes out smooth. RCBS stuff has worked good for me, no stuck cases but it's a bit tougher to size larger cases i find. Lyman is the only brand that has given me stuck cases.

I used two cans of it with no issues. 3rd can's formula must've been fuc$#@ because I had 3 stuck cases in a row. Tried the Dillon spray lube, and I'll never touch that Hornady crap again.

My favorite case lube is frog lube. Full length sizing my 300 wing mag, 308 win and 30-30 win, plenty hundred rounds, not a single stuck case.

I got that Hornady case lube for free if anybody want to pick it up. :)

I bought a bottle of One Shot Case Lube spray and used it twice before shelving it and going back to imperial case wax. It was just messy with the overspray and uneven application.

If you are sizing a few cases, the case lube technique does not matter very much. If you have a bucket or two of brass to size, there is a fast efficient way to lube the cases. I lube 100 or so cases (rifle) at a time, or about 300 pistol cases. Takes about 30 seconds.

I use Lee case lube. It is a water soluble cream that is easy to clean off. About $1.00 a tube.

Dump brass in a plastic pail that has a lid.

Then take a 1" worm of lube and smear it around the top inside wall of the pail.

Put lid on and swirl and shake for 15 seconds. This will lube all the cases and deposit a tiny dab on the case mouth, to lube the expander button.

I love Hornady One Shot. I've never had a case stuck with it. It could be how you're applying it. I would take a couple hundred casings, put them in a clean card board box, then blast the casings with One Shot while shaking the card board box, so all the casings would bounce around and get evenly coated. I'd give the whole works a real good dosing before stopping. I found the cases would be good for about 3 days afterward before they started feeling a little sticky in the press. At that point, I'd just give them another shot, just like before and keep going. Never a problem.
