Looking to get one of those stg 44 22lr. Tomorrow price is abit steep for a 22 but a real nice looking gun and read some good reviews.
What do you guys think?

Ive looked at a couple, and don't see the quality there for a $600.00 rifle, it looks pretty cheaply made to me for that price. If it was $350-$400.00 it may be a better buy.

Considering dressing up a Ruger 10/22 will cost you that or more.... The quality seems there for me. I have one and I'm not disappointed. Pretty good replica and doesn't feel cheaply made at all. It feels like a quality firearm, and very solid for a 22LR. They did a good job on this one.

If nothing else they certainly look bad ass and .22lr is cheap to shoot. I totally plan to get one eventually but I want to get a VZ58 first

Ya i have the berreta storm in 9mm very fun to shoot but could get expensive, im just looking for a cheaper alternative.

SSD produce them, but they are $3,000+ and restricted. I like the idea of firing a rifle in the bush, instead of only the range.

I am interested in buying one, but I too fear that the novelty would wear off soon, and that's a lot of $ to drop on a passing interest. I have handled one in a store, and it was reasonable, I like the weight of it, could be an way of getting use to a heavier rifle?

Anyone out there that has feed a couple of thousand rounds through one yet? A range report would be a good read?

Candocad.

Cheaply made???
Real wood furniture, all metal gun...I mean what exactly should it be built like for you to consider it worth the price??

Those who have purchased them seem more than happy with their decision (including me)....Get to handle one for yourself and you will soon decide if its for you or not...

The ones I saw had rough looking real wood, like it was made with some hand tools by a beginner. It was under the lights in the showcase at Cabelas, and showed a lot of flaws for a gun at that price. The other one was at the range one day.
Nicer wood and better bluing would have improved the look a lot.

That's strange...I checked out a couple at Wanstalls and could not find fault with the wood or metal finish..Very nicely finished...I certainly wouldn't have purchased one otherwise....

Cast metal...
'Not even steel or aluminum.

I believe some refer to it as "pot metal".

'WWoukd have been better to build it from stamped sheet metal... But that would probably been more expensive.
