My beef with one shot was that it's expensive and it stinks.

I too use home made lube (lanolin/isopropyl alcohol)

Love it

Imperial sizing wax all the way. Been using it for decades, and nary a problem, ever!!

May not be quite as quick as some of the other stuff out there, but a big tin lasts half of forever,
and it is soooooo smooootttthhhh, lol.

One wipe after sizing, and it's gone. I also use it for case forming [eg 300 Win mag to 308 Norma Mag] No problem, no dents.

Regards, Dave.

I want to try Imperial, if I ever find it on a local shelf. What I like about one shot is the ease of use. Just shake it and spray it on. I start sizing before its fully dry and find it smoother than Lee. It leaves a corrosion inhibitor in the dies so I don't have to clean and oil them after use like I do with Lee's water based formula. It doesn't affect primers or powder and just wipes off the case after sizing. It saves me enough time to make the price worth it for me. I don't have as much time to devote to reloading as some so it works for me. Just remember to shake it for a good 2 minutes solid and spray it on good. You can't spray too much on.

I use one shot on all my calibers with the exception of 338LM and 50BMG, for those calibers one shot doesn't work worth a #### and I use sizing wax.

I agree with 09outlander, when working on my .375 I use Imperial with great success. When blasting through my .357 I use a carbide die set and lube every 5th case with One Shot, no problems, knock on wood.
Question: Is it my imagination or does One Shot smell exactly like any number of silicone-based spray lubricants available at Home Despot or Crappy Tire? Any chemists out there who might want to take a stab at a little after market side by side chemical analysis?

X2 on your evaluation. Imperial is second to none, and a little does go a long way. I have a container of Unique case lube by Hornady and that's a close alternative.

I am a big Hornady fan. I use many of their tools, LnL AP Progressive press, ect.
I tried Hornady One Shot case lube and had the same result as many of you.
I called Hornady and was told that they had many complaints from the same region.
They were going under the assumption that the product may have frozen somewhere along the route in transport.
I have switched to Dillon Case Lube which is liquid lanolin and alcohol.

Imperial Sizing Die Wax for me too, I switched to it many years ago and never looked back. I started out originally with the RCBS pad with the gooey lube, what a mess.

I used hornady spray stuff. It's not that good.
I have the RCBS stuff for the pad. But I just put some on a rag.

Once the die is lubed. I only really need to apply it. On about every two or three cases

I have gone through a dozen cans of One Shot, with no problems.

I line up two rows of 25 cases, in staggered formation and the spray down both sides at an angle... that's it... quick, and no mess... never had a problem sizing any case.

One Shot is best suited to lubing pistol cases to reduce sizing effort: an application where lube isn't actually necessary, just nice to have. Little enough residue is left behind that it does not need to be cleaned off the loaded rounds. A small amount of the alcohol/lanolin spray will do the same thing, but it also works very well on bottleneck cases.

I apply spray lube using a large freezer bag. Spray the lube into the bag and shake to distribute.
