now explain this one to me Msnacks,,,if you really beleive Westrifle is the main importer of this ammo,,,then HOW would vendors who BUY from them be able to offer lower prices by $100.00 a crate LESS than the actual importer,,,?? LOL..makes no sense,,
 
I ALMOST bought a crate of 1500 from Cabelas yesterday for $230, but bought some new snowmobile/ice fishing pants and an new ice auger instead Lol!.

That doesnt really answer my question.. But i'll answer yours..

Im not in the ammo selling business. If i was, then it would make sense to me to buy cheaper if i could, no? Not claiming to be an expert, just applying some common sense here.

As for shipping company, the company used when i bought a skid of ammo was Day and Ross. Total cost to ship was around $180 (or around $4.50 per case of 1120rds). This is dirt cheap in my book. This was when oil was $100/barrel, so i'd imagine shipping would be cheaper now. Sure, it would cost more if you wanted to ship cross country, but you live in a port city and there are plenty of dealers in your area that are still selling it cheap, so you wouldnt need to order from ON or QC.
Hopefully this info will help you with all the customers lining up to buy ammo from you by a skid.
 
I bought 2 cases of 1400 copper washed (the new stuff) for 239.99 at WSS during boxing week. Curiously, they had westrifle tags on them.....

They probly bought them at 2014/2015 prices. Anyways everyone should buy some crates now if you can find them cheap. Seems like every retailer on CGN has created a thread warning about price increases.
 
I got the coupon with a purchase/return at the register beforehand. I believe it's a leaflet with purchase promotion. Was valid until Jan 31.
 
Which is crazy, because they will be complaining about a cartridge that is still under 30 cents a round to fire.

I just got into shooting rifles as of nov. 2014. I just counted and it looks like I bought 11 crates total between 7.62X39 and 7.62X54r in 2015. Some of which were Bulgarian 54r from Westrifle. (Great stuff!) I remember saying to my wife, "It's not gonna get any cheaper!"

Again, I value Westrifle as a forum sponsor and the products they bring into Canada.
 
If you think ammo going up is crazy. Check out how much SKS right now. They will go up in the next few month. For those who will be disappointed soon I say buy now.

The exchange rate at 1.45 today it might be at 1.50 when next shipment arrives if anyone says that westrifle is greedy or hiking up the price you can send your concerns to the president of USA or someone else who controls it. We at westrifle buy goods in usd funds and sell at Canadian funds. We are stuck with USD for all our transactions like cost, transportation duty and taxes all of those paid in usd funds.
I am telling you right now one month from now price will be higher go buy right now. I am saying if there is cheap SKS or ammo out there go get it. Don't scream later

I managed to grab 2 crates of Russian x39 for about 19 cents a round before tax. Might grab another SKS this week but not sure I want to give up my beer money for that just yet lol
