As I have said before. Any time some one else does the conversion , we the customer lose big time. Offer us the 958 in the currency that you buy them in... U.S. $$
Our accounting system is not set up for US dollars. We have to purchase US dollars to pay invoices if they are in US dollars, we take that exchange rate to calculate our invoice cost, we then have to add on shipping, customs brokage, Airport handling fees, duties any storage at airport (if incurred) etc and final shipping to us, then we add on our margin to give us a retail price in Canadian dollars. When you make a purchase the US exchange rate on the day of purchase is irrelevant to our actual cost. Even if todays exchange rate changes it does not affect what our cost was. The expert opinion from financial institutions is that our dollar will continue to weaken this year, this will also make your purchase if in US dollars more expensive. We could (Theoretically) calculate a retail price in US dollars for you, we would have to use the exchange rate of the day, as that is what we would bank, but you will also pay the all the related Bank charges so you would finish worse off.
No, purchasing from us in US dollars is not an option.
