Yesterday I went to a small (and I mean pretty small) store just for fun. Its called Marty's electric in NB. Basically he just started to stock a small but good selection of firearms. (no online presence) very nice staff. While talking and asking a few questions, they say he can pretty much get anything I am looking for. I asked about surplus ammo, he said he only has 1 case of sks in stock but can get more if I want. Price was $250 so right on the mark of normal.
I saw a bucket - o -bullets so I grabbed it ($89.99) as it is in the normal for these. I get to the cash and he asks if I was a member of a range, and he gave me 10% off. total with tax 90.51 so 0.065c each.
I find that a lot of the smaller guys are very competitive with prices. Also I noticed he had a few odd ball things on the shelf (303 savage 2 boxes on hand) and a box of very strange to me (forget the caliber 45-70 maybe??) but was a very long rimmed case with a lead projectile.... he said he brought that in for an old timer.
Also had some good prices on firearms. Remington 870 for $418
