Looking at a mint 870 feather weight in 16ga. Looks like brand new even tho she's from the 70s. Any one tell me what it would be worth? 28" pipe 23/4" no screw in tubes and no rib. Thanks
If it's that old and steel shot can't be used in it,my guess would be about $150.

And it would last less then 5 minutes if listed for that. Your guess is way off.
Totally agree with your assessment. Slightly off topic but worthy of note. Friend just picked up a Remington Wingmaster 28 ga. off a guy for $50 last week. Asked me if it was an OK gun. Resisting the urge to say I would take it off his hands for $100. Told him he had a perfect grouse gun.
That is actually funny. That old is the best ones ever made in 870's. I would not sell mint 70's wood for 150 let alone a complete wingmaster of any gauge especially 16ga
Cheers

Your friend has a horseshoe firmly implanted where the sun doesn't shine. That's amazing.Am I the only one irked when these posts are made only to support an EE listing?

Just paid around 750$ for mine, it's the old version and the action is so smoooth!!!What's a used remington 870 marine magnum going for these days ? Don't see many come up anymore on EE
You see this all the time. In this particular case the OP said he was looking at buying one. So either that was BS or after getting values, he gave the guy nothing for it and is now flipping it for what he was told it might be worth. I think somewhere in the rules looking for values or posting about a gun to promote an EE listing is not allowed but it's tough to enforce.
After reading this he will probably come back with something like, "I didn't buy it but told the owner I'd sell it for him". This is also against the rules.
