Well....people put all sorts of muzzle devices on their rifles that cause as much noise as this device. Ever see the brakes on some prs rifles?

Some people me included own out own property and built a range, could cause issues at public ranges tho but who cares your not doing anything illegal.

Who cares about people around you? Tell those pussies to put hearing protection on or go home and sit on the internet whining about guns that were too loud for them. Hahahaha! As for use on a .22, there isn't much to amplify. Using a similar brake on a 16" was almost unnoticeably louder than no muzzle device. A really short barrel is noticeably louder than a braked 16" .22 by a large amount.
