Continent wide one day groundhawg hunt on Tuesday?

It's been remarkably warm this winter.
Every warm day that goes bye is one more day closer to warmer weather.
Winter belongs on post cards.

Yuck.

Where I come from ground hogs are considered a nuisance and dealt with as such. Now that I live in the "more refined" city, I've always wondered what the reaction would be if some grizzeled old trapper type came to a screeching halt at the Groundhog Day Ceremony, jumped out, ran up and pummeled the 'hog threw it in a sack and drove off...

Seen a couple of Crows getting frisky at work on the tarmack.
Then there was the Bald Eagles doing the wild thing in mid air over WestShore Terminals...
I suppose spring is around the corner soon enough.
Mmmm ground hog threads and the pink mist.
Get yer cameras and trigger finger ready boys.

The guy the uses the pigs spleen said this year is going to be an early spring, so I dont know if hes ever right or not.

One thing I do know is its spring around here right now. The sun melted half our snow this week. Wasnt much to begin with anyways.

I don't know if it will see it's shadow or not.

But if I see it first he is getting a 223 through the head. Laugh2

Had a group of 3 and a single Canada goose fly over today while ice fishing at Last Mountain lake. Either they screwed up big time or winter is about in the bag here Sask.

I will keep a sharp eye then when I am out Tuesday for any groundhogs wearing snowshoes and a heavy parka, as although we having a mild winter for us it is still very much winter here. And Tuesday I supposed to be cold.

Doesn't matter what they see, or don't see Tuesday. I'll be waiting for them this spring with the new .243. :) I spend nearly every weekend chasing them from April-August. Didn't get skunked once in 2015. :)

I figure we will see weather, weather that's warm weather or not, the groundhogs will continue to fill the pockets of the communities that milk them.
It's been stupid warm here, and it looks like we're going to get warmer, but there's a big weather front moving in, so there won't be many shadows about.
What will be, will be.

Agreed.. But after things being so mild this winter, I'm thinking we might be in for some ruff stuff before spring. I hate those spring storms!!!
