I copied the response format of my friend who just got his Form 6 NIA approved very recently. Will see if this works or if I need to go full crazy on the details lol.

Not sure. ..but i put "self loaded by applicant for my ammo. 1500rds 9mm..tmj and 1500rds 40 .
I won't likely be taking 1500rds 40...but wanted it on there jic.

Well on my form 6 i have listed 5.000 38 super. 5,000 40, 5,000 45 and 5,000 9 mm. all approved.

I just write BALL for the bullet type.

I do recall last year getting questions at the border regarding how ammo is tracked, declared etc.... It's possible this has been in the works for a little while

Funny, I've never been asked about my ammo other than storage away from the guns.

For me (about 6 weeks ago), they complained about using just "reloaded ammo" under Manufacturer as I had used in the previous 5 years) but all I had to add was "self loaded", so I put in 4 lines: (one for each caliber)

Manufacturer: Reloaded Ammo - self loaded
Type: Ball
Caliber: 40 S&W
Quantity: 1000

and they accepted it: not really a big deal.

It's not that it isn't clear, it's just information they didn't ask for.
Just answer the questions as they are written... Sometimes in life less is more.

Received mine back today. Took 10 calendar days total via email.
mine showed
home reload then address - ball ammo 9mm qty 1000
and so on for everything I take over

No issues and approved !

Well submitted my forms Nia aplicatuon via email on Tuesday of this week and got back the approved form this afternoon via email. Yeehaw
