 I have nothing nearby to pop in and 'handle', much less fire, a few handguns as I shop for a used one. I have big mitts. Looking at 92fs or sig p226; and maybe/possibly...one of the Glocks. Hoping for some input from dudes with large hands who may have handled a mix of those, and what 'fits' them better. Thanks!

The 92FS has one of the widest grips in 9mm. Ergonomically, I think the 226 fits the hand better but the 92 definitely fits bigger mitts!
I don't find the G17 very wide but I've not tried the Gen 4 with the wide backstraps either.

I'd agree with the 92 but the Glock can be pretty large as well it may be worth your while to visit a few gun stores and make nice or at the range.

I'd agree with the Beretta 92. The CZ Tac Sport also has a good sized grip.

yes, Big Hands, Big Feet = hard to find gloves and shoes that fit.

I also have large hands and have handled and shot a stock Browning High power, this is not the gun for me with respect to fit. They are excellent guns otherwise. I'm thinking you may consider something that uses a double stacked mag so more likely a wider grip. Also a gun with adjustable back straps may be a good option but I have never handled any of those so can't really speak to that. I've handled a few CZ75's and they seem to fit me better than the BHP. Good luck with your pursuit!

My Beretta 92 fits very well in my large hands...
Ive tried a S&W Mp9 with the three grips set... I have big hands and i prefer the "medium size" grips vs the "large size".
My next 9mm gonna be a p226. (Nice grip on those too)
Cz75 fits very well in every hands... There is something special about these pistols...

I prefer metal pistol vs plastic one... Plastic guns just feel like "toys" in my hands.
Other choices for big hands: -6" revolver .357mag (Ruger gp100 or S&W 686)
-1911 in .45 (i have a GSG 1911 in 22, same dimension. Fits better than most 22lr in big hands, cheap and funny to shoot)

Hope its help!

The best thing is to try a few at the range if your lucky enough to have some fellas let you try some out. Sometimes what you thought you liked is totally different from what you end up liking.

Thank you folks, appreciate the input. And for broadening the hunt! Searched out some of the other suggestions - Browning, HK - and OMG. The HK is love at first sight. Now I have to fondle one in real-time and confirm this. Also, agree about grip mods. In my past shooting life many moons ago, I did use pachmayr etc, so there's that if I need to compensate.
Guess I'll have to find a shop and handle them. It's just that I feel bad, make the shopkeeper jump hoops, knowing full well it won't end in the expected "OK I'll take... that one". I'm shopping on EE for used.
Only last week I could have followed the mantra of "Well? Buy them all, and unload the ones you don't want to keep later!" but a $3200 TV set toasted that idea. Since that's mainly for the dame's viewing pleasure, it does buy me some karma for gun shopping.

A woman of my acquaintance shuts me up by saying "Big feet, big shoes," and she oughta know.

OP, Glocks are the most grip-adjustable handguns I'm familiar with, an excellent choice too with three sizers in every box, but it's easy for a new shooter to overestimate what he needs. I have it on good authority that the smaller the grip that reasonably fits a person's hand, the better people shoot with them.
