That is so cool. Thy are a amazing animal and I would love to see them make a come back.truly a beautiful animal. Dutch

Working near the BC Yukon border in the early ninetys a coworker and I had spotted what appeared to be a Black Panther ,knowing that wasn't possible we guessed it might have been a very dark and wet mountain lion!
Point being if your out in the bush enough you do get to see some amazing creatures...

And Mother Nature works in mysterious ways too.
My point is that Conservationists Found a Hidden Population of 200 Lions in Ethiopia....this was first posted three days ago.
Armafield, you are 100% correct. When people are outside and not on Face Book or playing silly games on their smart(dumb) phones they see amazing things.
Right now I'm seeing a couple Bald Eagles heading to the River.

Thousands of Eagles converging on the Skeena right now in anticipation of the Oolichan run!

El Jefe, the Boss. :)

Grizz

They sure are!

I suspect many of you know this already, but Jaguars have ridiculously powerful jaws. Apparently it can exert 2000 PSI of force with it's jaws. Domesticated dogs are around 300 PSI. Lions 600 PSI.

How long would a previously caged animal live in the wild this one looks like it's used to living in the bush he's in great shape, and would there not be a report if one got away ??

In a place where weather isnt a concern animals can survive a loooooooong time. Even moreso if its an apex predator.

As for reporting; a guy who lives close to me had big cats, and refused to acknowledge that one was his even after it escaped and killed his neighbors dog. There are serious charges for letting these things get away. Other people get them as kittens then let them go when they grow up as they cannt handle them.
