Anyone like the RED "Canadian Edition" Sub 2000 Gen 2

Looks like it's made of Lego ........ And no that wasn't a complement lol.

Maybe after its reduced to clearance prices, then duracoat one, but it still has to be cheaper than the black ones after the paint job or else why bother.

I'm not sure even a rare, red sub2k would ever be considered a collector's item, but then again, people buy ugly guns all the time and maybe these will all sell.

Not my favorite but i am picking one up as there is many lady shooters in my family and this one will find a niche easily with one of them... JP.

I love Sub 2000, especially the improved Gen 2 but this combination of red and jacked up price must be pretty bad for business. I would consider it if it was heavily discounted so I could invest my own time into re-painting it. There are so many other than black attractive colors they could have been made in, OD,FDE, even brown, grey, camo and so on and they would sell like hot cakes, but red ??? What on earth was KelTec thinking ???

I can't believe Vault and/or KelTec didn't consult with the community before producing what seems to be a ton of these.

I would not buy one.

i hate the color.
i would buy in a second if it were not red.
PRE-ORDER: Kel-Tec Gen2 SUB-2000 (Canadian Limited Edition)
24 Available
i bet.
they will be stuck with these for a while.
also, given the feedback here resale value for these used will be really bad.
oh well, i'll keep waiting for the normal ones.

I think drab olive would have been a better choice. I don't mind the red though. Gun nutz are highly conservative when it comes to looks so I'm not surprised at the negative comments.

There was a zombie edition gen 1 Sub2k. It was OD with a quad rail and bag, maybe some other things unique. Now that, even though it was zombie theme, looked good.

I looked for one on the EE for a time but alas, no luck. I bought the standard gen 1 glock mag.

Pretty decent motorcycle/pack gun although it stovepipes occasionally with federal American Eagle 9mm, only has about 200 rds down the pipe.

A snow-white one would be waaaaay more 'Canadian'. And could double as a stormtrooper rifle in a pinch. I'd be in for that. The Liberal Red version, not so much.

There was a display model at the Vault booth at the 2016 Shot Show. Obviously Vault sells only to Canadian dealers but apparently many US dealers walked by the booth and wanted to buy this gun in red. Some dealers were a little put out that this was not available to them as well. We placed an order for the red ones and feel we will have no problems selling them. I view many Keltec guns and the Sub 2000 in particular as odd ball to start with and the red color just adds to that look. Not everyone's cup of tea I know but there is a market for limited production guns and accessories. Look at the Leupold Zombie scope that came out a few years ago and everyone laughed and said it wouldn't sell. Well they had to do a second production run and still couldn't fill all the orders. As a matter of fact I might put my personal Zombie scope on my own red Sub 2000. Kudos to Keltec and Vault for trying something different. Phil.
