1) Class 12-6 is short barreled handguns, not black rifles

2) That thing is so ugly that flies wont land on it

That came from the early days when Armscor/Squires Bingham was trying to adapt modern looks for their .22 rifles. That same stock was also seen in early (circa 80s) air rifles. I believe they even make an absurdly looking AK rifle in .22 LR. Correct me if I am wrong, the internals are the same as the box-mag fed semi-auto. Mixed reviews? Depending on who you ask. Feed him with a good HV round, you will be fine. Some shooters had success in CCI Stinger and other hypervel rounds. The looks? Definitely awkward. But back in the 80s, that is the closest you can get to a tactical rifle in the far east.

Yes, the internals are a Squire's M20 which is near the same as a Norinco JW14. There were M16 in two variants, an AK type and a PPhs type. Mags included, 10 round, 25 round and a drum. I had the whole collection in the eighties as well as a M20.

Well I kinda like the little bugger... Ive never seen one before in person or for sale anywhere. So I was thinking its a bit rare.
I think ill get it out of him for $100. I will take her out tonight and see how it functions.
Thanks for your comments!!

That retractable stock version may be a bit rare but they still make the regular M1600 version. You can buy them at Frontier Firearms.

Ive had one since about 1984.
Shot a LOT of gophers with it and it never failed to work well. Bit of a PITA to clean but meah.
I did the same thing and took the black paint off the stock.
Good little .22

I agree, this rifle shoots fine. No issues other then the paint chipping. They sold for around 200.00 back in the day.

Had mine since mom bought it for me for Christmas in the early 80s. Will NOT part with it. Low end rifle but too much sentimental value to get rid of it. Haven't fired it in nearly 30 years. Still keep it clean and oiled though.

My norinco clone works great. They are a pain in the ass to strip and clean. Couple good youtube videos are available, just search jw14 cleaning.
