Model 70 SAFETY

The parts require fitting by someone qualified... if you can find the parts... possibly Western Gun Parts in Edmonton.

Safety lever, a spring and a plunger and a retaining pin. If someone already was screwing with it and gave up, the firing pin/cocking piece could also be required.

Its a 1968 push feed rifle. I'd be worried if something else isn't wrong as the safety must have been lost in disassembly and that indicates a degree of carelessness that would concern me about the rest of the gun. Sourcing a safety would be probably straight forward but I'd want a deep discount and a careful inspection and a test fire before I'd bite.

That's why I posted here. I would definitely have a smith do job but trying to get a feel of cost to repair if everything else checks out. Rest of rifle looks very good from the pics provided. In the process of asking owner whats up with safety. Thanks

I have been in contact with seller. Wont drop price and I sourced some new parts. About $200 US to here. I am going to shy away from this one in case there is other hidden problems. Thanks all for making my mind up. Bob

He's dreaming at that price for a unknown parts needed Bubba gun.If he could fix it cheap he likely would have........Harold

For that price, just go and look for a complete rifle all ready to go. Way more trouble than it is worth.
