I parted with mine just a couple of months ago. One PM and it was gone to a collector here who I knew would take good care of it
I have had a couple 222 over the years but that was the only 223 I have ever seen in many many years of collecting 760/7600

I think you guys are looking at it the wrong direction.The us should not be cheaper it is canada that is going to be seeing a big increase with new stock.The MSRP of the wood 7600 for 2016 from remington is now 918 US and syn 792US
Gander mountain is clearly selling new stock with current 2016 pricing which has not hit cabelas canada yet
I would hold onto your boots since we are going to see some huge jumps I would say this year when new stock arrives

Finally made it through this entire thread. Lots of good stories and info here. I'll join the club too. I bought 2 Gamemaster 760's in 308 back in December. Bought the first one online and had it shipped. Before it got to my door another one in much better condition came up for sale locally and for less money. That always seems to happen to me, so I did the only rational thing. I bought it too lol. The first one turned out to be an older one from the 50's. Had the solid steel butt plate. The second one is a newer (1977) in much better shape. I traded the older one for a savage 24 22lr/20ga and kept the newer one. Had it out this weekend and even with the terrible scope it has was able to get nice groups with 150 and 165gr. Once I get a new scope on it and sight it in it should be a great rifle. I'll post pics soon.
If you want a carbine I would be grabbing it since they normally sell pretty quick when they come up unless priced out to lunch
I have never owned any 760/7600 that didnot work well and i have had a fair number over the years
