It flopped.


Gen 2 is 3400ish. So thousands less then the PM2 and TT.

Terrible reviews? Far and few between. Reliability issues on the Gen 2? Haven't seen any. Weight? Yea. It's heavy. Do I care? Nope. I don't carry the rifle or hunt with it.

Sounds like the TT is a good buy, but going up quick in price. I think anything over 3K, hell, even 2K is absurd.

The Razor line-up has some of the highest ranked scopes with some of the best prices in their group:

Consider the:

3-18,
4.5-27
1-6
Binoculars
and spotting scopes.

That's a pretty damn good reputation earned in only a few short years.

I'm not trying to convert you guys, but the numbers, reviews, and actual quality are kinda hard to ignore when people say Vortex only sells warranty. I'm not comparing the Razor to the cheap lines. That's an issue with product image that Vortex should have never proceeded with. They SHOULD have a second company build the Razor line-up.

To answer your question: TT at 10:46, S&B at 28:02 and the animated AWM.....had an S&B hahaha.


The TT 5-25 is 6 grand, S&B 5-25 is 4 grand ( it was 3 grand back when I bought). The prices are getting ridiculous so you have to ask yourself at what pricepoint is a scope good enough for the job.

For me, getting a TT is not going to make me shoot any better. If I had money to burn, yes I would buy one but I can't afford it. I could barely afford the S&B at former pricing.

If you like the Razor II's features, but not the weight, have a look at the Razor II AMG when it comes out. Frank Galli (Lowlight) had one at the AI match. The scope is 100% made in the USA (even the glass) and they're using a new method of holding the lenses when they shape and polish them that results in superior uniformity. Glass is phenomenal.
 
You can read all the articles and have as many discussions as you want. At the end of the day all of these scopes will get the job done. The TT sure seems awesome with "turrets made by the angels" and "glass made from unicorn horn" but it would not make a last place competitor a top contender if they switched. Once you are at this price point just pick one, they are all good. I have had/still do an ATACR, Bushnell Tactical, and S&B - they all worked and looked good to me.

I became a better shooter when I shot the thing it was attached to more often.
 
When i am fully satisfied with equipments...

It's better than the "buycrapitis" that so many that I know have....then they wonder why things fail them....

Being cheap is usually very expensive.

May not make you into a pro. But it removes another variable, like a AI vs Rem700. The AI will make a new shooter that much more confident, thus letting you try more and harder shots. If you know your gear is 100% and then your only variable is you. Makes shooting that much more enjoyable, and I'm talking from experience. Having the right kit makes shooting so much easier and enjoyable.

I like knowing that the only variable is my lack of skill, rather than equipment.
