25 Yard Freestyle Accuracy.....let's play a game.

Bumping this up because it deserves to be. I am currently handgunless (look, I made up a word) but have a M&P 9mm coming soon. Quick question too, since I can not get the targets linked in this post to print at the right scale, are the Champion B-8 targets the same? That is what I always shoot, they are called 25 yard pistol repair targets or something.

OK. Posted previously, have been practicing. New photos below, both at 25 yards. First one is 2 hand - bench rest, more accurate than I can shoot. Second is 2 hand - offhand, best target of the day. Both 100, but group size is very different. I am reposting the 2 hand - offset picture to show dimensions as there seems to be questions on target size due to reproduction and scaling. This target is actual size with the 8 ring at 8 inches, correct for NRA B8 25 yard timed and rapid fire target.

That puts you in the lead

SubVet49 that is great shooting, but I notice your target is missing the 7 ring, did your printer maybe format it improperly and make it a little larger?

It seems to happen to several members in this thread, I wonder what is causing the issue?

I was testing a Charter Arms Bulldog (an old one, made in the 80s) I recently bought on EE (thanks, Fred).

A 3", 5 shot and quite light.

I had 10 rounds of each powder charge. 2 were fired over the chronograph and 8 for group. I am very pleased.

This is the Max load in the book. 240 gr SWC at 750 fps. A bit hard on the hand for a lot of shooting. Good for SHTF.

The best group I have shot to date. Would this target be scored 100 or 99? Hole on the lower right caused fissures that do break the 10 ring so I scored it 100 - 3X. Either way it makes me feel good.

My goal for 2016 is to get all 10 shots on the paper.

I was there 6 months ago. Over 4000 rounds down range since then and I'm starting to pull it together. Shooting .45 ACP can be humbling. I would work on getting the .22 grouping tight first. Was that single or double action?
